Business possibilities for non-residents
Although it may be theoretically possible to run a business
in Singapore and remain non-resident, via the appointment
of a local manager (who will need to have the correct passes,
including SingPass,
to submit applications, etc, on the non-resident’s behalf),
in practice the correct visa,
and presence in Singapore to run the business is required,
in order for the authorities to grant an EntrePass
, which is generally required for an overseas entrepreneur
hoping to establish their own business.
