1.3 Hong Kong Individual Business Registration Cost

The cost of business registration, initially and ongoing

With regard to tax registration, businesses may choose to be registered for a period of one or three years. Currently, a one year registration certificate attracts no registration fee, only the levy of HKD450, while a three year certificate is charged at HKD3,200 plus a levy of HKD1,350. These fees are payable again at renewal.

In terms of registration with the Companies Registry, the fees will vary according to the size of the business (either in terms of share capital or number of members).
