Ireland Fact-File Part 1:
Business Formation for Individuals
1.3 Ireland Individual Business Registration Cost
The cost of business registration, initially and
ongoing
The cost of registration for a new company is EUR100 (or
EUR50 if registered electronically), with an annual return
fee of EUR40 (or EUR20 if submitted electronically). Various
levels of fees are charged by the Companies Registration Office
for other post-incorporation documents, generally ranging
from EUR15 to EUR40.
Company formation services can take the pressure off when
establishing a business in Ireland, and on provision of the
right information, can usually provide a one-stop company
formation service, in addition to offering other services
(such as tax and VAT registration, or the provision of a registered
office address) and ongoing support (including the filing
of annual returns).
Generally, the information required for a company formation
service to establish your company is as follows:
- The name, planned activities, and company type;
- The registered office of the business;
- The company directors and secretary;
- Shareholders; and
- Authorised and Issued share capital.
Costs will vary, but the formation of a simple Private Limited
Company is likely to cost between around EUR300 and EUR400.
